Winter!: Prepare for holiday gaming!
Aah... remember playing advance wars? Choosing a commander befitting your playstyle and be forced to play with his pro and cons? Not so in Days of Ruin. This is truly the first real strategical AW, with commanders only influencing those in their command zone, optional deployement of the commander even and no longer those overpowered COpowers from Dual Strike.
+ Strategy and skill required
+ Graphics. The post-apocalyptical style is real nice.
+ Seaplanes. If used incorrectly they're bad Kamikaze planes. If used correctly 3 seaplanes can turn the tide of any battle...
+ The story
- Online play: tried it a couple times, each time with bad results. I really think online play with a game like this where maps can take hours is inferior to offline against friends :(
- "Hey look, AW4. Meh, seen it." Most games start losing parts of their playerbase after the third game and Dual Strike didn't really help <
